Cradle sizes/mule gear sizes
Ill start off by saying im new to the cub cadet scene, so forgive me if i ask dumb questions. So i was given a 1512 that didnt run, it is in rough shape. It did not come with a mower deck or cradle, so im looking for one. The question is, are all cradles/decks interchangeable for that era of tractor? I found a none running 1204 with deck for cheap, would that fit? also all these tractors look the same and i need the side panels to. are the frames all the same and body parts interchangeable?

Not familiar with those specific models but if they look the same then I wouldn't see why part from one wouldn't fit the other.

First, welcome to OCC...
 The Frames from the 1204 and the 1512 are the same. You can find what parts are interchangeable by going to the Cub Cadet Parts Lookup site.... Parts Lookup Once there, select Cub Cadet as the brand name, then type in the model of the item (ie: 1512) you want to look up. A pop up menu will show up if there are numerous listings for (ie: 1512) that are in that number. Look through the list and select what you want. Another popup will occur, breaking down the tractor into sections as well as all attachments that will fit that model. Browse through the sections getting the part number(s) and thus you can see what will interchange.
