Default Carlisle Tru-Power

I am looking to get a set of Carlilse tru-power 26" for my 1772. I find that I can get them in 4 or 8 ply. Is 8-ply really required or will 4 ply provide enough strength for what I need?

I'm not sure 8 plys would even require adding air.

the 8 plys are so stiff you can hardly get them on the wheel.

If anyone remembers, Amazon sent me 1 4ply and 1 8ply. The 8ply is definitely stiffer. I did mount both with nothing but 2 screwdrivers and some elbow grease. Get the 4 plys.

4-ply tires. As noted, 8-ply tires perhaps wouldn't require air.

Thanks everyone for the responses. I found a place that has them for $ 117.00 each with free shipping and no tax.

Happy Thanksgiving to All!

I just tried Stop and Go, they have stock of "1" and the price is now 129.00 ea.

My mistake, they have 2 entries of 26-12x12 in the dropdown list of sizes. The second one has stock at the price you mentioned.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
