Default Haban 402d on a wide frame.

As I understand it the 402d is for a narrow frame cub but Id like to put it on my 108 and I've read on this forum and others that it will fit without any mods but just wanted to confirm.

I had one on my 1450 for a while, although I never hooked the belt up. I think the only thing that needs changed is the position of the drive pulley on the shaft. Maybe you'll need a different belt. It didn't look like much was needed to make it work.

I believe the 402D fits both narrow and wide frames with some minor adjustments.

I believe the guys are right, I had mine on a 128 and changed it to a 106, the best I remember, I only had to change the location of the front pulley.

Lew will probably be along in a little bit and tell us all what the real deal is.

I put a 402E on a Cyclops, just had to mod up a mule drive to make it fit.

what they said....When you move the pulley to accommodate the difference in the NF to WF you may need spacers to keep the jack-shaft true...

Look at the parts, move pulley, it will be clear as a bell

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
