I would like to do some maintenance on my 1782 and 1862, and I'm looking for a good place to order the axle tube gaskets and the rear diff gaskets. will they be the same on both machines, or are the axle tubes different on a super? Not even sure where to find cub parts close to me, so figured I'd just order them from a website. thanks.

Got a local dealer, Cadet probably has a dealer locator on their site.
I order my stuff from somewhere towards the mid-west. For me, ordering parts from way off somewhere is easier than buying local when local is 1/2 hr away and doesn't stock what you need. I try to look up my parts ahead of time and have the supplier verify I chose the correct ones.

I ordered mine from Athens Lawn and Garden which is the CC dealer north of you off exit 49. There is a dealer in Cleveland TN but I do not know there name. Thing about ordering stuff for older machines is they usually do not stock the older parts and it is just as fast to order them yourself online.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
