Default New to me 100

For awhile now I have been looking for a cub the same age as me. I found this
100 and it's not the right month of production, but it's the closest I have found.
It's 6 mo older than I am ( tractor is Mar 1965). Fenders, creeper, and of course
it ran when it was parked. We will see.
It has some hidious green back wheels. I put the fronts on to move it
I can't tell if the back blade is homemade or not, it's pretty ok.
Pics so it happened:

Thanks. It came from my local cub guy, I don't know where he got it. He's been
looking for one with the right serial number for me too.
You can't believe how many 1964s I found.

Neat idea about finding a Cub same age as you are. Guess I'd be looking for an Original with a serial number around 35000.

Congrats on your find!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
