Is the Model 40 EZ Vac trailer made by Ohio Steel very similar to some of the IH trailers? The one I have looks similar/same as the one in the last link I provided here. Even looks the same underneath.

I have a model 40 EZ Rake/EZ Vac trailer as shown in the ad. The photo bucket picture I copied off a thread here the other day. It was supposed to be a real IH trailer.
My EZ Vac trailer appears to be similar if not the same thing. Just trying to verify. |

I've always been under the impression that the #2 carts were used for them.
Only seen a couple of EZ Vacs, but didn't think to look close enough when I had the chance to see if the carts were different.

Yes, that looks like mine except mine doesn't have what looks like stake pockets in each end of the sides to hold the soft top bows. Mine had the same basic trailer except the sides were bolted on and extended up with flat sheet metal instead of soft material so no need for the pockets.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
