Could be out of adjustment, but I'd rather think the reverse release valve isn't seating well.
Might take it out and clean it up, make sure it all moves freely. Could also need a fluid and filter change. God Luck with it.

If I had to bet, you have a worn trunnion. I have the same issue with a 149 and one of these days I'll get off my lazy but and fix it. Today is not the day, maybe one of these days.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester.
