Nice wright-up!
I may inquire about those prices, as they may not be so far-fetched. My 1975 IHCC 1450 with 50" deck was around $3100 in 1975, ha!

That is a very nice write on on Grampie's cubs. Very nice lineup of cubs in the pic. The $6-9000 range is a little far fetched if you ask me. They may be worth that to someone.

those prices
I believe they are referring to what today's cost would be adjusted for inflation. If you look at it that way and attempt to make a comparison to what a tractor of similar design and value would cost you, then those numbers aren't that far off.
