Default 1541 Tranny Fluid
I read that Hydran is the recommended fluid for this tranny. Unfortunately we dont have a CC dealer in the area. Has anyone used Hy-Gard from John Deere? Thanks.

I couldn't find a case dealer locally either. I bought it from these guys. It was $71 plus about $13 shipping for 4 one gallon jugs. I could add one trans filter and the shipping only went up a dollar or so. Add two, and it jumped up like $8. Didn't understand that one.

Yes, the JD oil will work fine in it and so will a Wix 51410 filter.
