Picked up a 1782
Hello All,
It's been a while since I had a super so I picked this up yesterday. It's in pretty nice shape other than the engine. I was told the air cleaner fell off and was used this way. Unfortunately the engine was damaged. I think I may go with a gas conversion in it. The tractor has less than 900 hours on it. It came with the 60" deck and wheel weights as well. Hopefully the picture works. If I decide on a gas conversion I will sell the diesel items. We'll take care, Mike

Just out of curiosity, whats wrong with the old engine? I get it was ran with no air filter. Can it not be bored out? Are the parts NLA or too high priced? Reason I ask is occasionally I hear a voice that says "you need a diesel". So far I keep reasoning with myself that I don't--maybe some logic will help if the "reason" fails.

I have a 1782 and love it! But you may be better off to do a V twin gas conversion.. you can dump some money into a diesel rebuild in a hurry! Plus there is no telling what parts may be missing!

I have a Kubota d600 sitting in my garage that can be thrown into that tractor easily. I want it out of my way!
