Default Portland IN Swap Meet finds

Really enjoyed my trip out to the Portland IN Swap. Got there late Wednesday morning and came home Thursday evening. Hauled back a 169 with all the hard to find parts and a hydro lift, a rear wide frame lift, brinly sleeve hitch, and a grill for a wide frame. My dad bought a cast iron ended mower deck and a snow blower.

Good score! Hey, did anyone tell you there is one of those "green things" sitting beside your truck? Of course you probably saw it when you got home and promptly used the 169 to drag it away.

There wasn't one the PO must of removed it for some reason. I could see where the rivets where removed. Its not a big deal to me it has the 16hp 13 fin motor with all the hard to find part. It would have been nice to see what month is was built.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
