Narrow frame hydraulic lift assembly
Resealing the unit
Where, how does the shaft seal go on? It looks like there's some kind of bushing I'm afraid to knock out, nothing came off on disassembly

http://www.cubcadet.com/equipment/AR...0-A/0011200022 I think you are referring to Tag# 47, part number IH-347478-R91 "Seal, Hyd Pump Drive Shaft". Please let us know if what I'm thinking is right or wrong. When I re-sealed my hydraulic unit, it appeared to have a bronze bushing in there. When I put a slide hammer in to pull it out, I found it was actually a rubber seal. The metal part of the seal and the pump shaft had rusted a little bit, and the rubber took on a bronze shade from the rust. That's what made it LOOK like a bushing. I cleaned up the housing and pressed the new seal in flush to the casting. I also cleaned up the pump shaft and lubed it before I put it all back together. Hope this helps!
