Unless you are planning on getting a 1250 with manual lift, I don't see why you would need it. A good portion of the QL hydro tractors hydraulic lift anyway.

It seems like a great deal if the valve and cylinder are good. The only things missing are the adapters for the lines to the hydro pump. Ask about those. This setup will fit wide frame and Quietline hydro models WITH a ported hydro pump. Models include 109, 129, 169, and 1250. But, like J-Mech said some Quietline models have this setup.

I thought the 1x8 and 1x9 hydraulic levers were different than the quiet line one?

They are! But you can adapt the Quietline style to the wide frame. The wide frame handle uses a bracket with a roll pin whereas the Quietline has a clamp on setup.

I would buy it for the sheer fact it's good to have something like that sitting around. However I disagree with Jon, I would not buy it to put in a low horsepower Hydro. I would purchase it to put in a Gear Drive.
Just me though. I am a hydraulic hoarder of sorts

The early QL's used the pinned levers. I'm not sure at which point they changed, the parts book only says to use the new style handle with a new lever.

Yes...that is true. I like the new style much better.

Pretty much a dust collector or paper weight w/o the ported pump to stick on a 1250.
At least the stuff is clean. |

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
