Default Not so happy holidays

Last week my wife had to bury her mother. A beautiful woman full of life that was ravaged by cancer over the past year. Then we found out this mourning that one of my sons best friends was killed in a car accident. Single car no one really knows what happened. My son was close to his grandma so he just got kicked in the teeth again. He spent all day asking me why. Unfortunately the answer is life can be hard. I wish I could take his pain. We all know life can be short. I have learned don't sweat the small stuff if you can't change it don't worry about it. Give your loved ones a hug and a kiss and tell them you love
them. You never know it could be the last time you see them.

Merry Christmas to all here at OCC.

Jon it is nice to see you back helping members. Glad to see it.

I know what you mean. A friend of mine at work just lost his wife. Her back hurt for a couple of years. She went to doctors, chiropractictors, etc. by the time they found it, she had cancer everywhere. It was in her brain at the last. She fought it for 3 long years. They have a 8 year old daughter.

Wow, your family is really having a sad time of it this Christmas, my condolences to all of your family.

Your words about telling your loved ones you love them verbally is so important. Also tell them why, as it will really reinforce your "I love you".

Sad news Charles. Feeling for you and your family, tough stuff there and back to back. I’ve had lots of it this year as well. Tragedy unfortunately opens a persons eyes (speaking for myself here) on what’s really important.

Forgiveness is also very hard sometimes but depending on what a person believes, is the right thing to practice.

Merry Christmas to all as well.

Charles,
I'm sorry to hear about your losses. It is a part of life, but that doesn't make it any easier. My thoughts and prayers to you and your family.

Feels out of place in this thread, but thanks for the welcome back. Merry Christmas Charles.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
