Default 2182 Fuel Filter
I have the FIL's 2182 here for some needed work and replaced the fuel filters, lines and tank grommets & shut off's, fuel pump & cleaned out the tank. The filters came from the Kubota dealer spec'ed for the wg750 engine that was a replacement for the wg600 that as in it.

It seems odd to me the filters have hardly any gas in them at all compared to the level that was in the ones I replaced which were about 3/4 full. Both the front and rear filters have maybe a 1/2" showing at the bottom through the semi clear filter housing. Is this what you other 2182 owners also see?

I did remove the fuel line from the carb and the pump is pushing gas through as it should just to prove to myself it wasnt getting burps of air.

I'm still chasing what I believe to be electrical gremlins on it so its not running good yet and wanted to give myself a little confirmation on the fuel supply being OK with that level in the filters.

It’s about how the filter is constructed. The outlet tube extends inside the filter element, you just can’t see it.
You can chase the electrical gremlins, or just start rewiring. CCC chose connectors poorly on those tractors.
I gave up and rewired mine.

What you are seeing on the filters is normal. As the filter plugs up, it will fill fuller. When you don't see any air, you need to replace the filter.

Personally I just leave the filter nut loose and let all the air out.

Apparently the fuel level in the filter was low at that 1/2" I mentioned, although I am not sure why it stayed that low. For future reference, this is the level it has been at the last couple days and what I am used to seeing in other tractors. It has been starting and running fine since getting to this level.
