Welcome to OCC!
I am not familiar with your model.
But if you go to cub parts look up, and type in your model, then go to that part, and see what all that part fits, it should give you an idea what you are looking for.
AND you will learn how to do that for another time/question in the future.
This was discussed just this week here.

First, welcome to OCC ----------->

The 2182 had three production ranges. I don't know where your tractor fits in.

The 2182 utilized the Sundstrand Hydro ----> Sauer-Danfoss 15U Series type of pump. Specifically, CC #717-3312.

These pumps have an excellent track record. It is seldom to see failure unless it is damaged.

Although 15U Sundstrand Pumps were widely used in the L&G Industry, one would need a Cub Cadet Specific pump for proper replacement.

Thanks for replies!

Tractor performs OK As Is Prior owner changed filter and fluid

Reverse is really SLOOOW.........

Found a 2086 locally i thought might be a good backup tractor ;-)

Was hoping the trannys might be a identical swap

BTW I assume ground speed also relates to engine rpm?

If reverse is slow. Check over all your linkages and make sure theres no "sloppy" bushings and pins.

Yes. engine speed will determine speed and response of hydro.

Slow reverse was a common problem, this is the Cub service bulletin about that issue.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
