Default Question on an Original
Just came home with this original. It has this piece of steel wrapped around the frame, tractor had to be split to install it. I haven’t even unloaded it off the truck yet to dig into it, just wanted to see if anyone had seen one before or if it’s a modification for some reason

Probably a "fix" for the cracks that develop where the frame bolts to the reduction housing would be my guess.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester.
