If the 12 HP engine is from a Cub Cadet, the oil pan should be the same.

If the 12 HP engine is a wide base engine, you probably will not find an oil pan that will work.

I had to do about 10 hours worth of machine work to a wide base oil pan to get it to properly fit into a Wide Frame.

Y. sam, it came from a massey ferguson, that is the one thing i know. but it didn't mount the same way a cub does. go look at my pics and look at the crazy mounting bracket that is mounted to the oil pan. jeff

jeffscub it looks like all you need is a 12hp pan from a cub and you will be good to go. I have a couple spares floating around if you are interested. You can e-mail at youmie714@yahoo.com

Thanks CC1450, I found it.

I believe cubs-n-bxrs, is right, a Cub Cadet oil pan looks like it will bolt right on.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
