Default 1st tractor 68 model 124 with box blade

Hello
I’m just getting my feet wet in the world of tractors and boy did I luck onto a beauty. I just couldn’t help myself when I ran across my '68 124 that runs like a top and is almost completely original. I’m in search of a mower deck and potentially other attachments in my area. I’m north of Tulsa OK near the Kansas line. I will post another pic or two tomorrow when I have a chance. If there’s anybody in my area that would let go of any attachments please let me know. I’m excited to join the OCC community.

Welcome to the forum.

You may have missed a good opportunity to get some CC implements and attachments. There was an auction last month northeast of Dewey, OK that a couple friends of mine held. I'm told things sold cheap. There was a vast amount of CC stuff.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
