Default Cub Original K161 and Winco Generator?

I was helping clean out an old garage today and found a bunch of parts that appear to be from a CC original. Its a K161 engine, with the original pulley and generator, and tank still on the motor, and a Cub Cadet Winco 110v generator.
I seem to recall these being an accessory back then but never saw one in person before.
The amp/volt meter glass is smashed, and the needle is broke off inside but it looks like a standard old SW ammeter?
Any clue where to find a new ammeter for one of these?
If the needle was still intact, I'd likely just cut a new glass for it but its been smashed in pretty good.

Been watching ebay for a while, I haven't seen a single 120v rated 0-140v meter yet for a 2 inch hole. Turns out its a volt meter, not amps, if it were amps, the meter would be no problem. The original meter had IH VAC on the face and the actual meter area was a 1/3rd sweep style with a stainless ring.
I may just cut a new plate out and eliminate the built in meter for now.

OK...I reread what you're doing. You want an AC voltmeter for the output of the generator . Got it!!

That's going to be tough. Are you sure you couldn't glue a small piece of toothpick/wire to the stub of the meter vane ? Finding a replacement glass will be easy.

120 degree sweep small panel meters for 140 vac is going to be tough but let me look around.

I know this is not the right type, (and it's not weatherproof, although you could make it so, but the diameter of the inset part is close

There's not enough of the old gauge left to fix, it looks like someone dropped something heavy and sharp right on the meter. The needle, face, and spindle of the meter itself are smashed in about an inch.
Weather proof may be somewhat important since it only gets used outdoors. The plate it was on mounted it facing the tractor with the gauge facing upward on top.
I could certainly make the Chinese gauge work but its likely made of plastic and water proofing it would be hard to do. I'm actually leaning toward just making a new top plate for the outlet box and doing away with the meter completely The only thing is I think your supposed to adjust the throttle when its in use to bring it up to the correct voltage and likely at the same time bringing it up to 60hz as well. Without the gauge, there's no way to tell what your outputting shy of carrying a small test meter with you. In reality, the more important reading would be Hertz, not volts to ensure proper operation of most items run off the generator.

None of the generator attachments were built to be "water proof" they are somewhat weather resistant however.

We sell Aircraft generators that are built to run in all weather. The replacement gauges we use are similar to the one in the link below. They work fine in damp and even rainy climates. Of course they would fail under water.

Sorry, Here's the AC one

Does your gen set have a Hertz or frequency meter?

Its important to know the speed you need to run the generator. You do this by measuring hertz. Some gen sets had the meter and some did not.

This one only has an AC voltmeter, its mounted in the 5x5" box where the two outlets are right atop the generator.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
