Do you mean 44 or 48 GT? 48GT and 54GT are similar and use the same hanger, 44 is a little different and uses a different hanger. I have a good 48 GT that's going to be for sale when I get around to fix the broken castor wheel. I don't know where in OH you are, I'm near Harrisburg PA if you have any interest.

Good catch. The 44GT I have is off a 1641 I have sitting in the barn, which needs some work to get running. So I'm open to anything that'll fit the 1864.

Harrisburg is a bit of a drive, but if I haven't found anything by the time you get that fixed I may be interested.

1641's used a 46" GT deck. Is that what you have? They also used a 44" deck among others..

Any deck that fits 1641 will fit 1864.

It could be a 44C. I picked up a 1641 once that had one on it.

That's interesting.. The 44GT looks like a "C" deck, maybe it was a GT on that 1641 I had then, I only had it briefly so I don't really remember. I learned something today...

I don't see a 44 GT deck listed for a 1641.

Yes, the 318 44" mower is the same as a 44c mower and is an option listed for the 1641.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
