Default New Member just saying HI !

Hey Guys,

I'm new to website, I'm a long time Cub fan. Never owned one until recently when I purchased a 782. Paid $565 and it runs great after some routine maintenance. It's got original KT-17 S1 engine. Love this forums.

Can you install front hydraulics without changing the valve ???

If you are referring to the Spool Valve, then yes you will need a "dual spool" valve.

Technically yes, but it is easier to change the spool valve and route the lines/hoses to the front factory location.
FWIW the Deere valves work and usually are less $$$ on the internet sale sites.

On your series I engine, keep the oil changed and Don't EVER rev it up cold, as
it is a sure way of throwing a rod through the block.
Have fun!

Nice cub! Also, without a pressurized oil system on your engine, you will not want to mow on a steep incline for very long.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
