Default 3pt conversion

I came across a 982 frame assembly with rear pto and 3pt. My son has a cyclops super with a 3 cyl Kabota. Will the 3pt interchange without to much modifications? Are possibly the pto?

3 point yes but the PTO may not play. Rear end cover is different between the cast iron rears and the Aluminum rears and that's part of the rear PTO.

So all i should have to do is get longer bolts for the 3pt arms? And it should bolt right up?

I did the exact opposite as you. I found a rear pto off of a cyclops super and installed it on my 982. I fabbed my rear cover using the aluminum cover as a pattern and it's worked fine for years. I do still have the aluminum PTO cover in my parts bin.

The hitch should be a bolt on but you'll need a rear end cover like this for the cyclops.

Default 3pt - pto

here's the inventory list and the exploded view of the cat 0 3pt and the PTO kits I have the full manual if you need it. I installed both on my 2182 fifteen years ago. I would be tempted to swap the cast iron trans-axle-pump to the cyclops if it will fit. Honestly I never use the PTO - 2000 RPM attachments are tough to find. the only reason I dont pull the PTO off and sell it is because I have a full cab. the body work comes off to install this system. bought and sold a 48" massey tiller years ago after lack of use.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
