Sudden loss of Oil Pressure
If you experienced this in your Briggs Vanguard powered tractor this may be the problem.
resized_Oil Pump 1.jpg Found these pressure regulating pieces in the bottom of the crankcase. Didn't see an easy way to reinstall them and be sure the plug would not come out again. So, I made a plug from a 7/16 x 20 bolt. resized_Oil Pump 2.jpg The plug had a mark on it showing how deep it had been in the inserted. resized_Oil Pump 3.jpg Had to clearance the hole slightly for the 7/16 x 20 tap. resized_Oil Pump 4.jpg Reassembled and installed with new plug, 32 psi oil pressure now. ;-) resized_Oil Pump 5.jpg

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens.
