Walbro WHG carb on my 1650

I've taken my Walbro WHG carburetor off my 1650 and plan to clean it and replace the parts that I can with a rebuild kit.

My main question is, does the main jet come out? A buddy looked at it and thinks it should, but wasn't able to get it out after trying for a few minutes.

I'm a novice at this, so any other tips you can throw my way are appreciated, especially if they are specific to this carb.

It does not come out, hopefully it is not damaged. Here is a parts picture.

Yes, it says WHG on the side. We didn't use enough force to cause any damage. Maybe I can post a photo.

If it doesn't come out, how do I make sure all the passages are clear?

remove the parts that you can, welch plugs ect. and give it a good soaking. The kit will show you what you get on section 3 page 10 of the manual that is in the tech section.

Thanks. I took a look for the manual. No luck yet, but I will keep looking.

I know the kit I ordered (a Walbro kit, not third-party) showed one welch plug in the photo. It does look like the carb has two.

I think I found the manual you referred to. Thanks. I see in the diagram, there is one welch plug mentioned. But on my carb, there looks to be another one next to it as well.

Be aware that if you try to remove the choke and throttle shutter screws (part #15 in the picture)
they will snap off and then you will be up Schitts Crick.

Only the throttle screws are staked, the choke ones have a lock washer on them.

The one closest to the low speed is the one that comes off.

Wow. That's a bit scary about the screws on the plates. Thanks for that tip. We actually took the screws off on the choke plate this morning. There were no lock washers, so maybe someone lost them previously. I took a look in the charts in that manual and that is the first place I found the model number other than on the carb. I didn't have any luck finding it doing internet searches. It is 4705396. Which it seems wasn't meant for my K341, but was original equipment on the K321. This manual lists it for the K321, but not K341. I'd be glad to hear any insight on that from you all.

File the screws flush with the throttle and they will come out.
