Quietline engine solid mount vs iso mount
My 1450 is in need of replacement engine mounts soon as I can see one corner is sagging down when looking at the underside. Looking at the price of the rubber iso mount cost vs the very well made and reasonably cheap solid mount hardware from Jeff, do solid mounts really make the vibration much worse? does swapping out solid mounts cause any problems?
The engine was rebuild by the previous owner and runs quite smooth. I was planning on swapping out the oil pan with a cast iron one and doing the engine mount brace modification at the same time, but if I'm just bolting it straight to the frame is that mod even necessary?

I have a 1450 also and IMHO, I like the Rubber ISO Mounts. However, it is your tractor, so do as you see fit.

Often times the upper mounts are in good shape, you could cheat and save a "little" by reusing the old uppers on the bottom and source some amazon replacements for the top. I've done this in a bind and it's a more reasonable solution than solid mounts.
Best thing really is to replace with OEM mounts. Yes expensive but when replaced you will be amazed at how smooth it will operate.

Another vote for the rubber mounts. Do it right and it will be good for another 30-50 years. Also a good time to check out the driveshaft and replace any worn parts while you have the engine out.
