Default Thoughts/input on tire choice
Need to replace the tires on my 1966 102.
The planned use for the tractor is maintaining a gravel driveway; it came with the IH OEM plow, and I plan on getting a box blade and a rake.
I think I’ll be going with an R4 type tread, for the rear.
Unsure what style tread would be best for the fronts, with the intended use.

Input, suggestions &/or comments?

That's a good choice for the rears, they are like the ones I use on my 149 loader rig.

I have never seen a Cub with the R4 tires. Very nice.

FWIW:
i see you are new,
Those tires pictured are an 8 ply tire
IF you can get them mounted, they will feel like they are made of solid steel.
They are skid steer tires so they will not flex what so ever!
Most lawn/garden tires are 2 ply.
Also,
You mention a IH OEM plow, are you meaning a moldboard plow,
or a front dozer blade for dirt/snow/gravel?

The Maxxis Mud Bug 962 in 25x10-12" is what I've been using on a 109 for about 6 years. They are a six ply tire so I only run around 5 lbs pressure and they ride and grip the ground good without tearing the grass out on turns. Use in winter with a 341 snowblower and no chains on moderate inclines.

I think R1 would serve you better. The stiffness in the R4 sidewall and durability would be useful for excavating equipment, but your little cub isn't going to come close to needing anything that stiff - to George's point. A good set of AG tires will last you a lifetime and provide a better ride and just as much traction on gravel.

I'd recommend a set of tri ribs in the front if you're not going to be doing any lawn stuff.

Edit: just noticed you're in Florida. A set of turf tires might serve you better in the front if you have any concern about creating ruts in soft ground. Larger contact patch.
