Default 50c Blades

I have been using the same blades on my 50c deck for a long time now. The cut quality has been very bad lately so I bought some of the XHT blades. I got them installed today and did a test cut and I am impressed so far. I was using the Oregon mulching blades. They worked good when they were new but they are worn out now. I may use them in the fall some to cut up leaves. Not having worn out blades is very nice. Not too expensive, they were 75.00 for 2 sets in 2023. Wow, I did not realize I have had them 2 years. I should have put them on when I got them.

It was more the Mulchers I was interested in , Gator brings a heap of blades into Australia but will not bring in my size (go figure)
They do however bring in the blades with the star hole , no good to me

Default found what I hope is a good solution

I tried to attach an image but I do not know if it will work (Link above).

I found a site with blades I think will work nicely for me (https://www.ballard-inc.com/).

I have ordered the "Gold Hybrid Mower Blades" which have carbide cutting edge.

I will report on their performance.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
