Has anyone ever seen this snowblower Chute Gear Repair Kit for 450/451/551? I purchased a used 451 snowblower and it was on it. I would like to purchase 2 more but cannot find it anywhere under Cub Cadet Parts, and searching the internet. A part number or location to purchase would be great!

I am in need of the part on the left. The 2 metal pieces that bolt on the chute where it rotates with the handle actuator. Thanks!!!

Is the part plastic on the left, looks like it was taken off a good chute. I checked the service bulletins for you but i never seen a kit.

They are 2 stamped metal pieces that repair the plastic chute when damaged by the rotation actuator. They bolt on with the bolts that attach the little attaching shoes to the chute. The picture on the right is a different undamaged blower chute that I want to put this kit on before it gets damaged too. Also notice on the right chute picture I added 3 more attaching shoes because the chute would blow off while blowing heavy/wet snow. I even looked under the 945 walk behind blower and nothing shown.

I switched to a John Deere chute years ago it’s all metal and is not scared of the limestone from the driveway.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
