Default Met Cadet Farmer Today

As I posted in the Implements and Attachments section, I picked up a few of implements, all have to be converted to sleeve hitch style:

http://www.onlycubcadets.net/forum/s...ead.php?t=6690

Cadet Farmer offered to trade a sleeve hitch plow and disc for the ones I have. So today I drove over to Rolla and made the swap. The bonus, of course, was to meet Bill and see his Cub Cadets. Unfortunately me and the wife had to get back to babysit the grandkids, so we couldn't stay long. (Plus we past zillions of yard sales that my wife insisted we stop at a few).

Bill,
It was great meeting you and I can't wait for a return trip when we both have more time. And thanks for the implements. I can't wait to try to use them.

Default Visit-short-but good

Tmo;

I was happy to swap, you got what you wanted, I got what I wanted, got to meet you finaly, everybody went home happy. Besides, I can't stand to see a Cub Cadet without dirt on the tires. How much stuff did you wife buy in St. James? hehe I already have plans to use your old disc to turn mine into a tandem disc. Maybe we can get together again closer to spring.

I wouldn't mind meeting other people from Only Cub Cadets.

She didn't buy much, mostly things for the grandkids.

I forgot to get that seat from off your 102. Oh well, maybe next trip. Also, I might see if my friend Buzz wants to come next time, if it's okay. He's the retired welder from Ralston Purina - and he owns 19 CCs, and some other goodies.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
