Question Snow blower model for "Original"??

YES i did look through all posts for this info, but NO luck. what model snow blower was for the "Original" i have a chance for a QA-36A, but it is 60 miles away and don't want to make a trip for nothing. were the "O"'s unique as far as front blade and blower models?also, did they make a tiller for the "O"'s?anyone know the maker of the belly grader blade on the 122 on xtrememotorsports cub cadet history page?......................Thanks

Hello samspops,
I am still new to Cub Cadet.
Here is the info Hopefully someone can confirm....
The Cub Cadet Original used the Danco BB36 snow blower.
See if this link works for a photo.

Yes, the blade subframe and throwers are unique to the original. You need a BB-36 snowthrower.

Thank You Mizar for the link. it didn't work, but i used the number to find it. and another one also. i see that by the pics of the mounts and drive, that they were quite a dinosaur, and why they are unique to the "O". still tho, i wonder if it would be a huge mess to alter a newer one to get the job done? with all the other equipment i have around here, i don't really need a blower, but the "O" is my favorite to play with!

Thanks for the confirmation Matt!!!
If a BB36 showed up in my area I would jump on it.
The link to the auction I sent was close enough but ended when I was at work. I do not bid on items that end when I'm at work because all my bid does is raise the price to the next bidder.

Hello members,
Are the BB36 and the CW36 snow blower the same?
They look simular but BB36 looks to be made by Danco and the CW by IH.

Hi guys, I am the guy that had the BB-36 thrower on ebay. The guy that bought it was from Connecticut. He had it shipped from here in Iowa all the way to Connecticut. You can use a CW-36 thrower on an Original. You have to use the brackets from a BB-36. IH made a kit to put the front PTO on the originals. Some Originals had the same cast ended 36" deck that was used on the 70 and 100s. There was a PTO Disingage lever on the side of the Dash tower. I do still have an extra set of BB-36 mounting brackets if anyone is looking for a set.

Hi ya Jteasdale. what part of Iowa? i originated in Chariton(southcentral) i saw your blower go on ebay, would loved to have it, but my blade gets me by, and if i really need to toss it back for more room, my MF 10 gets her done. PM me with a price for one of the front mounts. never know, i may want to have everything that was an option someday.

I aquired this original with a bb 36 but of course the po thought it would be neat to cross it with a 100 front pto setup. As you can see he bent what is left of the engagement linkage out of the way, and notched the cast grille out. Works I guess though. Anyone seen cab mounts like that before? Im gonna set the cab on in a day or two to see what is looks like. Never seen nothing like it myself. I'll post more pics then.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
