If the paint isn't too old, lacquer thinner will probably remove it from the hoses. |

I fixed one for Mrcubcadet that was leaking around the shaft behind the pulley. There are only a couple of seals in the pump to replace. There's 1 on the shaft just behind the pulley and another on the spool that is a square o-ring but a regular round 0-ring will work. He got the seals from the Cub Cadet dealer so I don't know the part numbers.

Ok, the Cub Cadet dealer had to run the input seal off of a Wheel Horse. The number is 5959
The next two are O rings (I think), both are IH numbers. One is 238-5114, the other is, 238-5222. Hope this helps, ![]()

Thanks for all of the help guys, but I have come to another problem. I'm missing the plate & dowel pin that the cylinder attaches to on the pump mount and my main mount that attaches the pump "U"-shaped bracket to the tractors' frame is all goofed up thanks to the PO's torch fixes and additions. Can any of you give me dimensions for the pieces I pointed to with the red arrows in the picture attached so I can make some new brackets?
I apologize if the picture is of your tractor... Google was nice enough to find it for me a while back and it works great for description purposes here. ![]()

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
