Default Q36 snow thrower

I've got a snow thrower, model QA or QC 36. It has very low hours. What does it fit and what is the going price for one of these? It needs a belt and maybe the lift rod.

John:

There is NO such model as a "QC-36" snowthrower.

The QA36/42 Series snowthrowers was designed for the NF Cubs with the QA (Quick Attach) feature, being the 1x4/5 and the 1x6/7 tractors.

I checked and it is a QA36. So would it fit any other narrow frames? What is the price range on one of these? It is quite an oddball for my southern location! Around here we can normally wait 2-3 days and the snow has all melted!

In my neck of the woods (Michigan) a snowthrower of that type would bring $100 to $250.00 at tops. It all depends on condition.

The 70/100 & 1x2/3 Series Cubs had "Bolt On" implements. I suppose one could mount this on older cubs with this feature. I haven't done this and it maybe such there are holes in the Mule Drive to allow such.

The Quietline Series had...
* 42" or 54" Dozer Blades
* QA36A or QA42A Snowthrowers

Also,
I don't see the chute control rod unless it is not pictured.
You might want to take the cover off the right angle gearbox to check the condition of the gears that are no longer available.
That way if you want to sell it you can be honest with the purchaser.
I Agree with Roland as the price in Mi.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
