Default Parts interchange

I have a 149 that is going to get a full restore in the future, for now, I am just trying to repair a few minor problems, and get everything adjusted so it works as intended. Basically I want to get the tractor in good working condition before I worry about taking it apart for new paint, tires, and decals.
Anyway, the other day I was looking at craigs list and wound up buying a 125. I figure for what I gave for it $100, I could not go wrong, it is a complete tractor, has manual deck lift, no lights and internal brakes. The po stated he had it at a repair facility to replace the head gasket and was told that the block was cracked near the cylinder head. I was a running and mowing tractor before the break down (po thought it was a blown head gasket).
I was thinking about using it for parts for the 149, or maybe keeping it intact for a future project...anyhow, I am not sure what parts would interchange with the 149. Thanks for any info you can provide.

I know they are different frames (been studying this site...lol), was just thinking maybe some things, hydro pump/ parts, carbs (125 has a brand new carb, my 149 needs a kit, needle and seat are crap, leaks out the gas if I forget to shut it off, and is kind of sluggish/ stumbles when opening the throttle) starter generator, and was wondering if the motors share common parts (crank, imparticular, the 149 has bad wear in the keyway where the drive pulley sits) etc...
Was thinking of keeping the 125 intact, it is in very good shape, no rust in deck or tractor, just stealing the carb for now, contemplating on using the narrower rear wheels for a set of ag tires for the 149....

Nope, carb is a different size between the two. Crankshafts are not the same either. The starter/generator would be interchangeable, and the hydro pump really isn't since the 149 has a ported pump for hydraulic lift and the 125 does not.

Default I think I will save it for latter project!

So I guess the only things that interchange are s/g and the wheels, I guess I will just keep it intact and build it later! If worse comes to worse, it is almost worth what I gave for it in scrap iron...LOL................JUST KIDDING!
