guys I am probably going to ask a dumb rookie question here........
I have a 169 and would like to pick up a box scraper. is there a 3pt hitch out there for my tractor that will accept a class 1 implement hitch? Farm Fleet has a sale on a 48" scrapers that I am interested in but I can't see how the IH hitch would work. It seems that I would need a hitch more in the lines of a compact tractor???? I have seen photos of a 782 that looks like it has a class 1 hitch on the back but nothing for my 169.?????????????????? |

There was never a real 3 point hitch made for the 169, only a rear lift used to lift a tiller or sleeve hitch. This place makes an after market category O 3 point hitch that is supposed to fit a 169 but it is a little pricey. http://www.xtrememotorworks.com/Part.../CC-03-013.htm. I'm not sure if this hitch would work with a cat 1 attachment.

Cat-1 attachments are too large for a CC.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
