Question 193-353-100 snowthrower on a 1250?

Hello

I have a 1250 Cub Caddet. I also have a 193-353-100 snowthrower. Personally, I haven't tried to mout the thrower to the tractor. However, the guy I got it from said that it mounted up but the pulleys did not align.

My question is: Is this snowthrower built for my 1250?

Question

Matt

Thanks for the reply! Is there some place that I can look up what this thrower fits? And what would fit my 1250?

Thanks

Dan

I think the 353 is for the 2000 series lawn tractors. You need a QA-36A or QA-42A.

Thanks again for the reply!

I'm glad the guy I got it from didn't modify (rig) the thrower to try to get it fit the 1250. Good thing that he didn't have it very long!

Matt, do you know of anyone looking for a 193-353-100 snow thrower? I would like to trade the thrower for a tiller to fit my 1250. Or, trade for a QA-36A or QA-42A

Dan

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
