Default what makes a 782 IH built or not?
I dont know for sure but is a 782 sn704200 IH built?

Your 782 is made by CCC/MTD.

IH built 782's have a Serial Number less than 700,000

CCC/MTD have Serial Numbers greater than 700,001

shux missed it by 4200! thanksI I have one over 740000 also. I'm finding out about the changes as I go.

A lot of the IH design and parts were used up until serial range 720,000. After that CCC design changes are seen.

I just recently sold my 782 (708453, I think) to DX3 and it had all the IH parts on it such as cast rear/front, steering wheel cap, red dash pedestal etc.. Only thing it didn't have was the dash with the "international" on it so I would think yours has all the IH stuff on it as long as it's a red one not that it matters it's pretty much just a mfg paperwork thing and a different id tag.

Yep most parts are IH. Really dosent matter to me who the guys that asembled it got paid by.Still the best cause its a cub cadet

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester.
