After looking over the photos you posted every thing looks great, HOWEVER it appears that you need to uncouple the fill hose every time you remove the tank from the shelf to take it to town to fill it.
Would a quick conect work?

Your local farm supply/fuel jobber will deliver gas to your house. Just need a 275gal fuel oil tank with a hand pump on it. Most will even provide that at very reasonable cost. I use it for the cars mostly, but it's there for the tractors and the genset when needed.

I got it easy with the 782D, just back up to the 300 gallon farm diesel tank, Man does the cub drain it fast
 For the gas cubs I have a 125 gallon tank on stilts. It sure is nice not having to lug around jugs all the time.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester.
