I agree, this is the way to go, fully adjustable and hole saws are expensive.

Another option. Harbor Freight has utility lights for about $8. The bulb can be cut out of the rubber housing. It's not a sealed beam. It has a replaceable halogen bulb.

Has anyone checked out a massey ferguson 1027218M1 rubber fender mount headlight holder?
It appears to pop into a hole in sheet metal and the sealed beam headlight pops into the rubber ring. But maybe not. |

http://www.pepboys.com/product/detai...ts/?quantity=1 Concerning the one suggested from Harbor Freight, here is a link to that one. http://www.harborfreight.com/12-volt...ght-93904.html I mounted one of these on my other tractor as a utility light. I can say that while it would be much cheaper, I think it would be much more difficult finding a way to secure them in the hole, and above all, the most important thing is the light produced and I can tell you the Pep Boy lights are very bright. Harbor freight light is about like the cub sealed beam. |

Thanks for fixing my Harbor Freight link. I tried to do it from my phone at work. Fail. I bought 2 to put on my 122, but I haven't finished fabricating the mounting plate. I posted a diagram on how to run them in series and parallel to vary brightness.

Ok I zoomed in on that pic and it looks like you cut the provided bracket into 2 smaller pieces, bent them to make them more L shaped and then mounted them on backwards. I'm guessing the pressure from those brackets against the plate holds the lamps in tight?

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
