They do spin the opposite direction from all other tractors. If you have the ability to build attachments for them, they can be very useful. I just bought a rear PTO, and a pull type Bush Hog mower. I plan to make it run off the PTO. Plus, I have a post hole digger and a ditcher that I think I can adapt to run off of it.

the bad part is this was from a 3 digit original the rest has been parted out and on ebay

only because this is one of the more recent posts about these rear PTO's, I've got to revisit it.

I'll admit it: I have a problem. ...There... I said it.

I'm up to 3 NF rear PTO's now, and while I'm proud to have them, I have yet to find any good information as to their use, other than the old belt-driven pieces.

Does anyone have any pics of the rear PTO in use or at least hooked up to an implement/attachment on their NF?

Don't know if this guy (ebay seller) is a member here or not, I used to think he was alright (as an ebay seller) but he has clearly caught the same selling bug as some of the other goofballs on ebay, I would have to need/want something really bad before I would buy it from him. Sorry, that's just how I feel.

BTW he still has a rear pto listed for $600.00.

Someone here has a rear mounted sickle bar mower that runs off their rear pto.

I'd love to see the rear mounted rear pto driven sickle.

Not that I need one, as I literally just snagged a haban sickle this past weekend, but I'd love to make use of the pto and really crank up the 'cool factor' beyond just having another useless option.

Actually, it didn't use the PTO to run the trencher..... it used it to drive the tractor. Backwards, through the PTO with a hydraulic motor.
