You may be way ahead of me on this but people are having good success with this product with DSL:

I went surge protector crazy a couple of years ago... No complaints!

The down side to all of those things is that it will be the FIRST thing your ISP will blame for an outage. You have to disconnect them all (and hide them) before a service appointment or you'll hear loads of crap about it.

AND the saga continues.

Been without internet since Tues @ 7:00PM again.

On my fourth Modem. Couple with wrong information from the ISP as far as ISP configuration parameters, talking to some woman in India, along with some dude in Pakistan, having the ISP service come back out, and confusing installation instructions with the last new modem.....I am ready......

This is getting old. Do you have any other options for internet or are you like me stuck with Century Stink DSL?

Well, the only other option I have is Satellite Service and that is more expensive with slower speeds.

You can try netzero ...um ..Dial up as a back up $5 a month or free

so many are watching whole movies via highspeed internet but not on dial up
when I had to replace my modem it was a wireless compatable and the kids at a nearby school were hacking/accessing into my internet
