Looks great. I get the same feeling saving one. I'll call everyone down
from the shop and start it up for them. I get nothing. Some people don't get it. Well most don't really, that's why I hang out here a lot. Terry

Thanks for the compliments fellas. I'm really proud of the way it has turned out so far.
I painted the trailing arms last night for the cat 0, but don't have a hitch for it yet. That's one of the things on my bucket list... make a hitch for the 3 point. In the mean time, I bolted the hitch plate back on for now, as I do have a small trailer I'll use behind it some. There are implements that were used behind this machine, and I'll get some pics of them next time I go over and raid her barn again. I doubt I'll use them much, if at all. As far as the paint on the tractor itself, I did some rust removal and spot painting around the seat area and battery tray. The front wheels were really a mess and needed a lot of rust removal/paint work on the inside surfaces. They were pitted enough in areas that I decided to go with tubes in the front. There is still some corrosion/loose paint on parts of it that wasn't visible in the picture I took(poor lighting/no flash) but as I said,I am in a tight timeframe situation, so there will be a lot better paint work coming up later on. Very nice work bringing something back to life that isn't made anymore with fewer and fewer surviving.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
