Awesome build on the hitch! I'm liking those rear 23* and heavy duty hub caps too.

So I have been pretty busy with this thing. Since last updated, I finished the whole steering column installation, re routed a bunch oh hydraulic lines to better suit the operation of the machine and overall aesthetics. Was even able to remove an extension line.

I installed the starter relay mod, and fixed my two year mystery wiring issue. The head lights would turn red whenever the pto was engaged. But the pto would disengage whenever the headlights were energized. But the headlights worked just fine. Was a screwy problem.

Anyway, I ordered several parts that should be arriving this week which will get this thing just about grass ready... which my wife laughed about today since we got about 8" of snow today!!

Looking good!

I had a similar problem with a 1782, headlights and PTO.. turned out to be a ground that a previous owner had left loose!

Keep us posted.. looks awesome so far... I love those 1864's.. top of the line for a GT for sure..

I hope to build an 1864 in disguise as a 782 this year.. still gathering parts!

Been a really busy spring. My grass is a foot tall, so I need to get this thing wrapped up. Trying to juggle finish planning today and getting that other 1864 back to Humboldt, I figured I should use what little free time I had this morning to finish assembling this 1864. Currently it's completely serviced and ready to go with the exception of installing the rear tail lights, decal kit, mower deck and bagger. Not quite sure when I'm going to get all this stuff done but it will be completed soon! After I waxed everything I took a few pictures just to show where I'm at.

Thanks Beth! Had to get this thing put together today. The grass is literally taller than my front wheels. So with my wife and daughters help, we got this one put together and then unloaded the latest purchase from the trailer.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
