It isnt. It really seams as if the "wobble" is the only thing I can find wrong.

I used a small piece of hose, been working for the last year with no problems. It is easy and cheap to see if this is your problem.

Would it help if I added an extension to the trunnion so that the travel of the control level had less of an effect on the transmission?
I don't need the wide open, holy crap! speeds.

Also, how do I eliminate the left/right wobble? Is it a circlip holding the plates in place? Would a shim washer help?

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester.
