I mowed yesterday,, and I was VERY thankful for the roof that I fabricated out of a old truck bed cover,,,

It is one of the best mods I ever added to a machine,,

It might be my monitor, but doesn't it look like he might have a gas mask on?
More signs of the future???

I remember an old National Geographic I found from the late 70s talking about the rise in people with allergies. it had a guy on a lawn tractor with an acrylic bubble helmet on hooked to a hose and a belt mounted pack that looked like a fan and hepa filter. it was lit so you could see the haze of pollen coming up from everything. Absolutely miserable for someone with allergies to pollen if they have to do that.

Also wondering if IH or others aver made a bracket to mount to the narrow frame tractors to support a shade umbrella. that would certianly make mowing at times easier. I know JD made ones for farm tractors.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
