No I don't. I'll see if I can get one from a friend on Monday. Or just replace it on Monday.

You should test it first beforehand with an ohmmeter, can't just start throwing new parts in it without a few simple test.

Hello there! I did not have much luck at all going with the 321 p.carb. adjustments given in that k manual. I went up and down with that manual and my engine never preformed right. I set mine to a k 301 and I have a smooth running engine.
I'll go out on a limb and say its fuel related because the machine fires right up. A very basic test for spark, compression, and fuel it all that's required.

I would like to say, many years ago I had an engine start and idle all day, but would not throttle up.
Fiddled around for a whole day, on a hunch I removed the condenser, and tested it, sure as heck it tested bad, so I substituted one I had laying around, and it ran as expected so I purchased the specified one and all was well. Just my $.02 |

Thanks guys for the suggestions. I'll get the coil checked this afternoon. I'll have to wait 'til Monday to get a condenser. I used the settings from the Kohler booklet as a starting point and was able to tune it in before so I think that process is okay. Got to get to work, thanks again.

This summer had a condensor wire broke 2/3 in two would do this, pop backfire would run right. I always keep a spare coil, points and condensor on hand. Just because the condensor has a few hrs on it doesn't mean it's not bad. I've had a new coil out if the box be no good.
Good luck! Let us know what happened.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
