I know. You said that already.

Did you tap on it with a hammer lightly while trying to start it with the key like I asked?

You did hold the key in the start position while tapping on it right? You didn't let go of the key?

Default From a battery

Have you tried this using the battery that is installed on the tractor. I see you are using a different battery sitting on the running board.

Try it using the battery that is installed on the tractor.

Do what budscub said real quick. Use the actual battery that is in the 129 and the jumper cables. Does it still crank?

I appreciate the help guys. Thank you for trying. I'll try again in a week or so when I'm not so frustrated. I appreciate the help though. For now I guess it's still haunted.

Don't you dare give up, we're not done yet!!!
It's not f---- haunted, you haven't finished testing yet. If you want to give up now while we are in the middle, why not just load it up and take it to a mechanic? Reach down and grab the pair you have, go back to the garage and finish the tests, we're almost to the end!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
