Default New Plow

I found that if you can put some weight on top of the tandem, It will cut better. On mine, I attached the back disks solid with the front, put a large concrete brick and then attached a pipe to the back with chains to smooth out the ground.

Thought of another question,
Is there any way to get an idea what this plow was manufactured for? OR were they manufactured a bit different through the years?
I just spent the better part of an hour between ebay and stinking goggle and none Ive seen have the "flat spot" on the arm? that attaches to the tractor or the weird adjuster that looks like a vice handle!!
That leads me to my final 2 questions !!, Does anyone have a pdf manual on the setup and adjustment of this fine piece of machinery, and where can I educate myself on the different terms for this plow shuch as share, moldboard and the disk thing with a name I cant pronounce let alone sell!! As a matter of fact can someone spell and rite out coutier???? "the disk thing !!" phonetically.

Thanks Guys
Jason

Hey 67hydro.

Yours is like mine. Its just an early model. They look a little different. If you go to the brinley web site you can download the moldboard plow manual that helps a bunch with all the terms and adjustments. The manual will have the newer style pictured but its the same as far as how to adjust.

From the CCSupplyRoom Library, this might help a bit...
(I have asked Roland to post this in the Tech Library in readable size)

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
